When is the retreat?
The retreat begins Friday, February 24th and ends on Monday, February 27th.
Friday 2/24 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Saturday 2/25 from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm
Sunday 2/26 from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm
Monday 2/27 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Do I have to attend the entire retreat or can I just come to part of it?
You need to attend the entire retreat because each experience builds on the one before it to lead you into a more personal relationship with Christ.
What happens at the retreat?
The retreat consists of a number of enlightening talks, sessions where you gather in small groups to discuss the talks, periods of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, singing, the sharing of meals and friendship, prayer, Reconciliation and Mass.
Can anyone attend this retreat?
It is recommended for persons 18 years and older but we are flexible. Please contact Lisa for more information if you are under 18 years old and would like to attend.
Where will the retreat be held?
The retreat will be held in the Parish Hall of North American Martyrs Parish.
How much does the retreat cost?
The retreat is free. However donations are greatly appreciated to offset the cost of the meals and snacks which we will be providing throughout the retreat.
Do I need to pre- register?
Registration is required due to the limited number of spaces available. There is an online registration form or you can download it here.
Are our meals provided during the retreat?
Yes!
Refreshments are provided for Friday and Monday evening.
Breakfast, Lunch and Snacks are provided Saturday and Sunday.
What do I need to bring to the retreat?
Nothing but an open heart and an open mind. Please dress comfortably.
Why should I attend this retreat?
The Light of the World retreat will instruct and enlighten you in order to form a more personal and loving relationship with Jesus as well as with your parish family.
What happens after the retreat?
Many who attend the Light of the World retreat choose to attend additional meetings which may be held once a week on a weeknight to help you prepare to join a “Small Faith Group”. These groups may meet twice a month, continuing to share in fellowship and following the path of evangelization. Details will follow after the initial retreat is completed.
